The Ford minibus is used to solve everyday and humanitarian issues of the community

A modern Ford minibus, which was purchased for the Gleyuvat community of the Dnipropetrovsk region with the assistance of the Northern and Central Minings, continues to help local residents with household and humanitarian issues. This is stated in the Metinvest.Media’s message.

Thanks to its own social transport, the community solved the issue of mobility and saving time. It was this minibus that in the first days of the war went to the positions of the defenders of Ukraine to deliver food, hygiene products and warm clothes. Six trips to the blood donation point were also organized for local residents who wished to become donors for servicemen and civilians who were wounded by shelling.

Transport also helps in receiving humanitarian goods of the «Saving Lives» project – it picks up packages by car from the humanitarian hub of the Central Mining and delivers them to the villages of the community.

«Even before the full-scale war, we received a car from Kryvyi Rih Metinvest’s Minings through the cooperation memorandum. The Gleyuvat community includes 19 villages, so a car was very necessary for the transportation of residents, schoolchildren and preschoolers. We planned to hold outing cultural events, but February 2022 slightly adjusted our plans», notes the first deputy of the Gleyuvat village head Dmytro Gureev.

The transport of the village council also delivered athletes to regional mini-football, football, and volleyball competitions, transported children and teachers – participants of the All-Ukrainian School Olympiads.

Metinvest Group systematically supports the Gleyuvat community. In particular, in partnership with the Northern Mining, in the village of Shevchenkivske, the reconstruction of a modern outpatient clinic was completed, which from January 2023 receives patients from six villages of the Starostyn District. The implementation of projects in the community is coordinated by the public organization Kryvyi Rih Foundation of the Future.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest together with the Pokrovsk city military administration concluded a memorandum regarding the restoration of the Myrnograd bridge. According to the document, the company will allocate UAH 5 million for the production of project documentation for the reconstruction of the overpass.

During the year of the war, the group directed over UAH 3.1 billion to help the country, more than UAH 1.6 billion of which are for the needs of the army through Rinat Akhmetov’s «Steel Front» military initiative. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the company has become one of the largest private donors to the Ukrainian military.
