Pokrovske Mine Administration has produced more than 4.5 million tons of coal since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of 2023, miners at Pokrovske Mine Administration, part of Metinvest Pokrovskugol, have produced more than 4.5 million tons of coal. This is stated in the company’s message on its Facebook page.

Moreover, the team of Metinvest Pokrovskugol has exercised this muscle well and can solve problems that could have led to a dead end a couple of years ago,» the message says.

The company’s miners are confidently moving towards fulfilling the 2023 plan.

As of the beginning of October, Metinvest Pokrovskugol miners produced 4 million tons of coal. During this time, the miners sank 17 km of mine workings to expand the further work front. As of the end of August, the company’s miners produced almost 3.5 million tons of coal. In January-April, the unit produced 2 million tons of coal. In other words, in May-August, the company’s miners processed 1.5 million tons of raw materials, and in September – 500 thousand tons.

In 2022, Metinvest Pokrovskugillia’s Sviato-Varvarynska processing plant has produced 2.3 million tons of coal concentrate since the beginning of 2022. At the same time, at the beginning of December 2022, Metinvest Pokrovskugillia produced 5 million tons of coal. A third of the mined coal in 2022 is on account of site №2.

Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia includes several enterprises of the Pokrovske Coal Group, including the Pokrovske Mine Administration and the Svyato-Varvarynska Concentrator. These enterprises carry out the extraction of run-of-mine coal, its enrichment and sale as coal concentrate.
