Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia has released 4 million tons of coal

Since the beginning of 2023, the miners of Metinvest Pokrovskugillia have released 4 million tons of coal. This is stated in the company’s message on the Facebook page.

«Coal mining is a common and routine matter for the Pokrovsk mine management. But at the time of the most difficult tests for the country, the miners accumulated maximum efforts to provide the country with raw materials,» the message says.

In addition, since the beginning of 2023, miners have laid 17 km of mine workings to expand the further front of the works.

«We believe in victory, we work for it. Every ton, and even a kilogram of coal, is important. This is energy independence, support of budgets at all levels and the well-being of our people,» the company summarizes.

At the end of August the Pokrovsk mine management has produced almost 3.5 million tons of coal. For January April the unit extracted 2 million tons of coal. That is, during May-August, the company’s miners processed 1.5 million tons of raw materials, and in September – 500,000 tons.

In 2022, Metinvest Pokrovskugillia’s Sviato-Varvarynska processing plant has produced 2.3 million tons of coal concentrate since the beginning of 2022. At the same time, at the beginning of December 2022, Metinvest Pokrovskugillia produced 5 million tons of coal. A third of the mined coal in 2022 is on account of site №2.

Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia includes several enterprises of the Pokrovske Coal Group, including the Pokrovske Mine Administration and the Svyato-Varvarynska Concentrator. These enterprises carry out the extraction of run-of-mine coal, its enrichment and sale as coal concentrate.
