Metinvest Group handed over another batch of aid with a total value of UAH 5 million to the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU). This is stated in the press release of Metinvest.Media.
The company provided 5 pickup trucks, 15 thermal imagers and 5 modern night vision devices to five mobile response and monitoring groups of the State Security Service.
With night vision devices, even at night, drivers will be able to move on pickup trucks without turning on the car’s lighting. And thermal imagers with a detection range of up to two kilometers allow you to detect the enemy for an early response.
«A mobile group is a group of 4-5 people in a car with certain weapons. Each car will have a night vision device for the driver and thermal imaging optics for prompt detection of the enemy. The tasks performed by such groups can be diverse. We are grateful that all our requests for charitable assistance are met whenever possible,» commented the colonel of the SBSU Oleksandr Sebalo.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war through «Steel Front» military initiative, Metinvest has directed UAH 2 billion to support the Ukrainian army.
«We take turns transferring a batch of cars, night vision devices and high-resolution thermal imagers. These are German devices that were very difficult to find, so we are glad that we delivered them and today we can make the guys happy,» said the head of the CEO of Metinvest Group’s project office Oleksandr Vodoviz.
As GMk Center reported earlier, Metinvest handed over to the soldiers thermal imaging sights with a range of up to 2.5 km and laptops in the Donetsk direction.
