Centravis produced more than 10,000 tons of pipes in January-November 2022

Centravis, one of the largest suppliers of stainless steel pipes in Europe, in January-November 2022, reduced the production of pipe products by 34% compared to the same period last year – to 10.6 thousand tons. GMK Center was informed about it by the company’s press service.

Despite the significant reduction in production, the company’s revenue has remained at 90% of the pre-war 2021 level.

“Despite the difficult situation in the country and Nikopol, we kept the team, customers and production. None of us was prepared to work in wartime, but today everyone must contribute to the victory. Considering all the circumstances, we are proud of our results and will continue to work to support the economy and the state,” commented the company’s CEO Yuriy Atanasov.

The production of Centravis is concentrated in Nikopol, which since July 2022 has been under fire almost every day from Russian troops. At the same time, the company manages to maintain production and fulfill orders from customers from many countries around the world.

As of November, the number of employees at the plant exceeds 1.4 thousand people, which corresponds to the pre-war level. The average staff salary is UAH 20.7 thousand, which is 11% higher than the industry average.

“We look for opportunities, not reasons. We think about where to find raw materials, how to improve logistics and speed up the delivery of goods to customers, how to make better pipes. This is what we influence. We adapt, we learn, we go to exhibitions, we communicate with clients, we are constantly on the move. Our labor productivity has increased by about 17% compared to last year. The company has become more stable and cohesive, and we believe that we will be able to get through this year normally and do a lot in the next one,” concluded Yuriy Atanasov.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in November 2022, Centravis received a contract for the supply of 20 tons of seamless pipes to a customer from Oman. Previously, the company worked with this customer, but since the beginning of the war, the customer stopped cooperation due to possible security risks.

In 2021, the company’s production volume was 19.43 thousand tons of pipes compared to 19.05 thousand tons in 2020. In January-May 2022, Centravis produced 5.5 thousand tons products, which is 25.7% less than in the same period of 2021.
