Zaporizhstal carried out repairs on the BTA-4 line of the cold rolling shop

Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works carried out current repairs on the BTA-4 line of the cold rolling shop. The company’s press service reports about it on the Facebook page.

Repairs were carried out by specialists of the workshop and experts of Metinvest-Promservice. Contractors performed revision and adjustment of pickling machines, revision and elimination of the unwinder telescope’s hydraulic cylinder rod’s fogging.

They also replaced the pressure rollers of the washing bath, unusable rollers of the storage units and the correct-stretching machine’s gates, carried out a revision of the output storage unit’s trolley wheels’ bearings. Thus, the productivity and wear resistance of the equipment was increased.

As GMK Center reported earlier, at the end of August and the beginning of September 2022, Zaporizhstal plant launched two repairs on the BTA-4 line of the cold rolling shop. Specialists of the shop and experts of Metinvest-Promservice carried out tightening of drives and repair of the coil preparation section’s wiring.

Also, since the beginning of the year, Zaporizhstal has saved UAH 900,000 on slab cutting thanks to an automatic gas cutting machine, which was assembled from spare parts by specialists of the hot rolling shop. Such an economic effect was achieved due to a reduction in the amount of cutting in the production of slabs.
