Steel trading company Vartis opened 7 new steel centers in different parts of Ukraine. This is stated in the enterprise’s press release.
Representative offices of the company appeared in Cherkasy, Zarvantsy, Vinnytsia, Zarichany, Lviv, Brody and Ternopil.
The range of new steel bases includes sheets, rebar, pipes, channels, wire, mesh, steel corners, strips, circles, beams, squares, plasterboard systems, insulation, bricks, cement, roofing materials, tools, etc.
In addition, steel centers provide services for cutting steel with a Bulgarian in the size according to the client’s request and delivery throughout Ukraine. All products are certified.
As GMK Center reported earlier, in mid-May 2022, Vartis resumed work of its steel depots in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, which were closed due to military operations. The company opened 4 warehouses in Kyiv and about 10 in the region, in particular, in Bila Tserkva, Boryspil, Brovary, Vasylkiv, Vyshgorod, Obukhov and Fastov.
The company opened in July 2022 new warehouse of rolled steel in Uzhhorod. Branches can fulfill the most complex orders. Also recently a second steel center was opened in Lviv with an area of 850 square meters, which includes more than 1,000 product items.
Also, in 2022, Ukrainian steelmakers have cut export of flat rolled products by 73% compared to 2021 – to 1.63 million tons. The revenue of steelmakers from the export of such products fell by 73.5% y/y – to $1.35 billion. Export of long rolled steel decreased by 59.7% y/y – to 748.95 thousand tons. In monetary terms, deliveries fell by 55% y/y – to $693.53 million.
