Ukrgazvydobuvannya announced tenders for the purchase of pipes for 86 million tons

Ukraine’s largest state-owned gas producing company Ukrgazvydobuvannya (UGV) plans to purchase 905 tons of seamless pipes with a total cost of UAH 86.1 million – a total of three tenders. This is evidenced by the tender in the ProZorro system.

The first tender involves the purchase of 581 tons of seamless pipes, including:

  • hot-deformed seamless steel pipe from a rolled or continuously cast billet Ø219x15mm – 130 tons;
  • hot-deformed seamless steel pipe from a rolled or continuously cast billet Ø273x10mm – 410 tons;
  • hot-deformed seamless steel pipe from a rolled or continuously cast billet Ø273x11mm – 41 tons.

The products must be shipped to the Poltava region by April 30, 2023.

The second tender concerns the purchase of 65 tons of hot-deformed seamless pipes with a diameter from 89×4.0mm to 325x10mm. The company plans to receive steel products by February 28, 2023, in the Poltava region.

The third tender involves the shipment of 264 tons of API Spec 5L steel pipes from a rolled or continuously cast billet measuring 8.625×0.277 inches in diameter. The supplier must deliver the products to the Lviv region by February 28, 2023.

The date of the auction has not yet been determined. Deadline for submission of tenders is October 29, 2022.

As GMK Center reported earlier, UGV published a tender for the purchase of 436 tons of electric-welded pipes worth UAH 34.96 million. Deadline for submission of tenders is October 22, 2022. Products must be distributed to the warehouses of branches by March 31, 2023.

The leading pipe producer in Ukraine is the international vertically integrated pipe and wheel company Interpipe. Before the war, Naftogaz’s subsidiaries Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta consumed about 50-60 thousand tons of Interpipe’s pipes.

As GMK Center reported before, at the beginning of the year Interpipe Niko Tube signed a contract with UGV for the supply of various types of pipes with a total cost of UAH 2.9 billion. After that, Interpipe won two more tenders for the production of pipes for a gas producing company – 1.5 thousand tons worth 161.9 million UAH and 3 thousand tons worth 201.1 million UAH.

The Ukrainian pipe enterprises in January-July 2022 reduced pipe production by 27.1% compared to the same period in 2021, to 226.9 thousand tons.
