During the period, Ukraine imported goods worth $33.2 billion, and exported $19.5 billion
Ukraine’s trade turnover in January-June 2024 amounted to $52.7 billion. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service.
During the first six months of 2024, Ukraine imported $33.2 billion worth of goods and exported $19.5 billion. At the same time, taxed imports amounted to $28.1 billion, which is 86% of the total volume of imported goods.
Among the countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods: China – $6.4 billion, Poland – $3.7 billion, and Germany – $2.6 billion. Ukraine exported most of its goods to Poland – by $2 billion, Spain – by $1.6 billion, and China – by $1.6 billion.
In January-June 2024, 65% of the total volume of goods imported was made up of
- machinery, equipment and transport – $11.4 billion
- chemical products – $5.9 billion
- fuel and energy products – $4.3 billion.
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine were food products ($12.4 billion), metals and steel products ($2.1 billion), and mineral products ($1.8 billion).
During the customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties, UAH 148.1 million was paid to the budget.
In 2023, Ukraine’s trade turnover amounted to $99.4 billion. In particular, the country imported $63.5 billion worth of goods and exported $36 billion. Taxed imports amounted to $52.6 billion, which is 83% of the total volume of imported goods. The largest share of imports was accounted for by machinery, equipment and transport ($19.8 billion), and exports were food products ($21.8 billion).
