Workers of the Ingulets Mining and Processing Plant (Ingulets GOK) built a new crossing over the Ingulets River in the village of Shyroke in the Dnipropetrovsk region. It is stated in the message of Metinvest Kryvyi Rih on Facebook.
The crossing was damaged as a result of a rocket attack on the Kryvyi Rih hydrostructure – then a large volume of water entered the Karachuny Reservoir into the river bed, causing destruction and flooding.
“Taking care of the residents of nearby communities, Ingulets GOK quickly reconstructed the crossing. Specialists of the quarry and the service shop dismantled the remains of the damaged floor and foundation of the structure in order to increase the carrying capacity of the channel and avoid flooding of the residential sector,” the message says.
After that, pipes were installed here for bypassing water, which were prepared in the workshop of technical water and sludge management of the Mining, a reinforced concrete floor, a fence was installed, and access roads were planned. The work involved the machinery of the technological motor vehicle shop, the motor vehicle shop and the quarry.
As GMK Center reported earlier, minings and industrial enterprises of Kryvyi Rih were not injured as a result of destruction at the Karachuny reservoir. Russia launched a massive missile attack on the city on September 14, 2022, damaging the dam of the reservoir.
Also, within the framework of the Metinvest’s humanitarian project, more than 300,000 Ukrainians already received help. The amount of donor aid to the “Do it together” fund amounted to more than €2 million.
