Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia plants paid UAH 2.8 billion in taxes in January-September

Zaporizhzhia plants of the Metinvest group – Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporizhkoks and Zaporizhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant – transferred UAH 2.8 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine in January-September 2022. This is stated in the press release on the Zaporizhstal website.

“Against the background of reduced production caused by military actions, Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia enterprises make a significant contribution to filling the state and local budgets of Ukraine,” the message says.

The largest payments of the company’s enterprises in Zaporizhzhia to the state budget are income taxes, customs payments, as well as the payment of a single tax and a single social contribution.

“Despite military operations, Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhia are working and remain the largest taxpayers in the region. We focused all our efforts on supporting the state, remaining a reliable pillar of Ukraine. After all, we are aware that the stability of the national economy today is a vital contribution to the victory of Ukraine, its further construction and development,” said the CEO of Zaporizhstal Oleksandr Myronenko.

The Group’s Zaporizhzhia plants paid almost UAH 650 million to local budgets for 9 months of 2022.

Kryvyi Rih enterprises of Metinvest, in January-September 2022, paid UAH 7.6 billion in taxes to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine. Kametstal Iron and Steel Works transferred to the state and local budgets almost UAH 1 billion in taxes and fees.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in general, Metinvest Group, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, in January-September 2022, transferred almost UAH 18 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. In 9 months, the company paid more than UAH 6 billion in income tax and UAH 3.3 billion in state taxes.

In 2021, Metinvest increased tax payments and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine by 2.4 times compared to 2020 – up to UAH 52.7 billion.
