Metinvest Pokrovskugillia is working on the automation of production processes

Metinvest Pokrovskugillia is implementing the first stage of the program for automating production processes at conveyor transport sites, planned for 2023-2024. This is stated in the message on the compan’s Facebook page.

As part of the program, 13 video surveillance cameras have already been installed at the conveyor transport stations of Pokrovske railway station.

Miners are preparing for the next stage of production automation. In particular, in May, 2 km of fiber-optic communication line will be laid and an additional 6 cameras will be installed at the Conveyor Transport 9 site. Currently, for this purpose, the revision of all equipment on the line is underway, which is 12 conveyors and a feeder, as well as the replacement of transshipment points.

The next step is to install 16 more cameras in mining operations, in particular, 10 units – on the slope of block №1, 6 units – during converting belt conveyors of the Conveyor Transport 4 station for the transportation of people.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest Pokrovskugillia repaired the KSP-42 tunneling combine with its own resources. The updated combine will work on the 2nd southern conveyor track of block №9.

For January-February 2023, Metinvest Pokrovskugillia has released 1 million tons of coal. Meanwhile, the miners of the Pokrovske Mine Administration have recently started to work new cleaning slaughter of 9th northern longwall of block №10. The development will be carried out by the mining team of site №5. Reserves of new lava are estimated at 1 million tons, and the reservoir thickness is 1.2 m.

Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia includes several enterprises of the Pokrovske Coal Group, including the Pokrovske Mine Administration and the Svyato-Varvarynska Concentrator. These enterprises carry out the extraction of run-of-mine coal, its enrichment and sale as coal concentrate.
