Kametstal received 400 portable gas analyzers in September 2022

In September 2022, 400 portable multi-channel Drager X-am 2500 gas analyzers were delivered to the Kametstal Iron and Steel Works. It is reported on the company’s Facebook page. The devices are designed to control harmful and dangerous gases in the air of the working area, they are compact and easy to use.

This batch is already the second received by the steel plant this year. The new gas analyzers will go to converter, agglomeration, gas, rolling, repair and mechanical, electrical and energy repair shops, TPP (thermal power plant), UZT, environmental protection department and other structural units.

In total, since the beginning of 2022, 700 portable multi-channel gas analyzers have been purchased for Kametstal.

“Systematic provision of employees with means of personal protection is a priority task at the enterprises of the Metinvest group. Despite the wartime difficulties associated with logistics and the specifics of the partner enterprises’ work, employees continue to receive the necessary equipment, including to ensure gas safety in production conditions,” the message says.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Kametstal Iron and Steel Works has equipped the protective structures of the enterprise with five diesel generators. In the event of a power outage, units will produce electricity for four bomb shelters in autonomous mode.

As GMK Center wrote before, Kametstal has produced the second batch of 3.3 thousand axles for railcars and locomotives since the beginning of the war. The products were made to the order of domestic consumers.
