Izmail MTP handled 830,000 tons of cargo in May

In May 2023, the state enterprise Izmail Sea Trade Port (Izmail MTP) handled more than 830,000 tons of cargo. This is a record indicator of transshipment of goods by the enterprise for a month. This is stated in the press release on the company’s Facebook page.

«Historical record of transshipment of goods of the state enterprise Izmail Sea Trade Port for a month is established! This has never happened before. Our company did the impossible. Each of you did the impossible», says the director of the IZM MTP Andriy Yerokhin.

The contribution to the achievement of record indicators was made by the partners of the port, in particular the branch Delta-Lotsman, USPP and the branch Odeska Zaliznytsia of Ukrainain Railways, as well as counterparties LLC Metinvest-Shipping, Poltava Mining, LLC Slavutich Ruda Ukraine, LLC AV Metal Group and others.

The previous monthly transshipment record was recorded in March 2023, when IZM MTP processed 721.5 thousand tons of cargo. 506,900 tons of goods were shipped for export, 209,000 tons of imports were accepted.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in mid-May 2023, Izmail MTP increased pellet handling by 83% compared to the same period in 2022 – up to 560,000 tons.

IZM MTP operates berths №4-8, 12-14, 16-26 of the Izmail Sea Port.

In general, for the 2022, Izmail port increased cargo transshipment by 2 times compared to 2021 – up to 8.89 million tons.
