Interpipe conducted career guidance tours for more than 400 ninth-graders

Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has been actively involved in career guidance work with young people. With the start of the school year, the company organized tours of its facilities for 9th grade students. As of today, more than 400 schoolchildren have already attended the career guidance tours, according to a press release.

The company emphasizes that it is in the ninth grade that children make decisions about further education, so this is an ideal time to get acquainted with technical specialties. At the companies, students had the opportunity to see modern equipment, learn about production processes, and talk to engineers, programmers, and skilled workers.

“Most schoolchildren still have an outdated idea of production. We show them that modern industry means high technology, interesting tasks and good prospects,” Interpipe says.

In addition to excursions to the enterprises, children are also invited to the renovated machine tool workshop at Vocational School No. 2. It was modernized last year with the support of the city authorities. Here, students are trained on modern equipment according to current programs and have already chosen manufacturing as their career path.

The career guidance activities are part of Interpipe’s broader program: the company modernizes learning spaces, adapts educational programs to market needs, and supports teacher development. The company is confident that many tourists will soon make a conscious choice in favor of technical education.

In early February, Interpipe, together with the city authorities of Dnipro, modernized two school labor rooms. Both are located in schools on the left bank of the city and offer students interesting interactive activities in a comfortable environment. The company provided the classrooms with modern machines similar to those used in its own production.

Earlier, the company also purchased equipment and updated the curriculum for training future machine operators at Vocational Technical School No. 2 in Dnipro. In addition, two modern labor rooms were opened in gymnasiums No. 121 and No. 24. The city’s schools have recently received Fischertchnik programmable construction sets. In total, 12 modernized school locations have been opened.

Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company that manufactures steel pipes and railway products. The company’s products are supplied to more than 50 countries through a network of sales offices located in key markets in the Middle East, North America and Europe. In 2023, the company sold 387 thousand tons of pipe products and 95 thousand tons of railway products. Rail products are sold under the KLW brand.
