Central Mining completed the planned replacement of the mill at the iron ore processing plant

The Central Mining and Processing Plant (Central GOK) carried out the planned replacement of the MSHC 161 mill at the production site for the repair of technological equipment of the iron ore processing plant. This is stated in the press release of Metinvest.Media.

“The mills are used in the production of concentrate, the equipment is designed for grinding magnetite quartzite. The final quality of the concentrate depends on their work, so concentrators closely monitor the operation of the equipment – they carry out scheduled repairs and maintenance,” the message says.

During the repair, specialists replaced the armor, loading nozzle, feeder housing, scoops and slide bearings. The entire process of replacing the layer mill and its components was carried out in just 24 hours, which allowed the factory to operate as planned.

Thanks to the re-equipment, the equipment will be able to work without accidents for the next 104 days – until the first planned and preventive maintenance.

“At Central GOK, the Metinvest Group continues to systematically update equipment to control product quality and ensure uninterrupted operation of the enterprise,” the company summarizes.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Central GZK repaired four vibratory feeders of the crushing plant. The production capacity of modernized equipment is up to 2.5 thousand tons per hour.

Also, Central GOK allocated UAH 3.2 million for the renewal of railway tracks on the race section, which is involved in the transportation of iron ore from the Petrivskyi and Artemivskyi quarries to the enterprise’s industrial site.
