On April 24, the Avdiivka Coke Plant, which is part of the Ukrainian Metinvest Group, was massively shelled by Russian multiple rocket launcher Grad. Numerous damage to production facilities are reported.
Ex-director of the plant and member of Ukrainian parliament Musa Magomedov wrote this in his Telegram.
“Today, the rashists took the lives of two girls in Krasnohorivka, near the Avdiivka Coke Plant. The plant was shelled too. Set of Grad rockets fell on the territory of the plant, many shops were damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no victims at the plant,” Musa Magomedov wrote.
On March 13, Avdiivka Coke Plant has already been shelled by Russian troops. As the result the thermal power station, which supplies heat to Avdiivka, was stopped.
Earlier GMK Center reported, that due to active hostilities in Ukraine, Avdiivka Coke Plant stopped production facilities.
Avdiivka Coke Plant is the largest coke plant in Europe. The capacity of the company’s beneficiation plant is 6.4 million tons of run-of-mine coal. Coke is produced on dry-quenching equipment. Avdiyivka Coke Plant is a part of Metinvest group.
