The company provided charitable assistance in carrying out repair work in the neurological department of the hospital
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih helped to renovate one of the hospitals in Kryvyi Rih district. GMK Center was informed about this by the press service of the enterprise.
«IIn April of this year, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih received a request for assistance from a medical institution. The company’s management decided to provide charitable assistance in carrying out repair work in the neurological department,» the message reads.
Almost immediately, the specialists performed a preliminary inspection and assessment of the scope of repair work and the cost of its implementation. The repairs were carried out by a subsidiary company, Stil Service. In the summer, work began on repairing the heating, sewerage and water supply systems, as well as electrical repairs, ward and bathroom renovations.
The opening ceremony of the renovated hospital, which took place on October 11, 2024, was attended by the head of the Kryvyi Rih District Military Administration Yevhen Sytnychenko, the director of the Department for Legal Affairs and Government Relations, acting CEO Olena Biziaeva, and the CEO of Table Service, Oleksandr Lisovenko.
Thanks to the company’s help, the hospital managed to open a new neurology department with 20 beds, repair manipulation rooms, showers, and wards, which have been renovated with modern functional repairs. Previously, these premises were unusable. The medical facility provides a wide range of services, including surgical services, to patients in Kryvyi Rih district, including the Novolativska and Hrechanopodivska communities that border the plant.
“This is not the first project of the company for the communities of the district and this medical institution in particular. In 2022, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih already provided humanitarian aid to the hospital. In addition to surgical power tools, doctors were provided with antiseptics, hemostatic plasters, suture material, a disinfectant device, and medical furniture,” comments Elena Bizyaeva.
As GMK Center reported earlier, since the beginning of the war, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has allocated over UAH 650 million to support Ukraine’s humanitarian efforts and overcome the consequences of Russian aggression. The company also remains one of the largest taxpayers in the country. Last year, payments to budgets of various levels amounted to UAH 4.1 billion. In 2022, this amount amounted to UAH 8.8 billion, and the plant also paid $75 million in advance in mineral extraction tax.
