200 million tonnes of cargo have been transported via the Ukrainian maritime corridor

Since the start of 2026, Ukraine’s seaports have handled nearly 35 million tonnes of cargo

Since its launch in September 2023, the Ukrainian maritime corridor has already handled 200 million tonnes of cargo. This is according to a statement from the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

Of this total, 118 million tonnes is grain. In total, over 7,800 vessels have been handled.

Since the start of this year, Ukraine’s seaports have handled almost 35 million tonnes of cargo, which has been shipped to 56 countries worldwide.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, according to the ministry, 935 port infrastructure facilities and 191 civilian vessels have been damaged or partially destroyed.

“Despite this, Ukraine maintains the stable operation of its seaports and remains a vital part of global food security,” the ministry’s statement reads.

It should be recalled that, according to the results for 2025, Ukraine’s seaports handled 82.2 million tonnes of cargo. The planned cargo turnover figure for last year was 86.2 million tonnes; the actual result corresponds to over 95% of the plan. The forecast cargo turnover figure (81.77 million tonnes) was exceeded by 100.5%.

As reported by GMK Center, over 8.9 million tonnes of cargo were handled through the Ukrainian Danube ports of Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaysk in 2025.
