Zaporizhstal will allocate UAH 16.5 million to improve working life in 2023

In 2023, Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works plans to allocate about UAH 16.5 million to improve the working conditions of employeesthrough «Working life» comprehensive program. This is stated in the company’s press release.

“After the forced postponement of the «Working life» program due to a full-scale invasion, in February 2023, repair work at the facilities of the Zaporizhstal plant was resumed,” the plant notes.

During the year, it is planned to renovate the domestic premises of the cold rolling shop, the operation shop of the railway transport management, the turbine shop of the thermal power plant and one of the administrative buildings of the plant. The total area of ​​the objects is about 800 square meters.

“This year, as part of a comprehensive program, four household facilities will become more comfortable and convenient for more than 300 residents of Zaporizhia,” the company adds.

As part of the major reconstruction of the working life facilities, all communications will be replaced, energy-saving window and door blocks will be installed, modern sanitary ware will be also installed, and finishing works will be carried out.

Currently, the renovation of the administrative and household complex of department №3 of the cold rolling shop and the sanitary and household premises of the UZT operation shop is in progress. Work on dismantling walls, coverings and floor screeds is taking place there.

The corporate program «Working life» has been implemented at Zaporizhstal since 2012. During this time, the plant directed more than UAH 200 million to bring sanitary and administrative buildings in line with the best practices of culture and everyday life in production.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Zaporizhzhia plants of Metinvest in 2022 transferred UAH 3.4 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine. Almost UAH 820 million was paid from the local budgets of the enterprise.

In general, in 2022, Metinvest Group, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred UAH 20.5 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. In the structure of taxes and fees, the largest were: income tax – UAH 6.6 billion, single social contribution – more than UAH 4 billion, personal income tax – UAH 3.7 billion.
