Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works handed over to Zaporizhzhia city hospitals a new batch of medicines for emergency medical care worth more than UAH 2.4 million. This is stated in the press release of Metinvest.Media.
The batch of drugs and consumables is distributed among six hospitals in Zaporizhzhia. The list of drugs was determined in accordance with the needs of institutions, as well as in coordination with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.
Among the provided things are antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, painkillers, antibacterial agents, hemostatic agents, local anesthetic agents, etc. They will mostly be used for therapeutic treatment, emergency care, operations and resuscitation. In addition, hospitals received consumable surgical materials.
At the end of October, one of the main city hospitals received a significant amount of medicines. This is the second batch of medical preparations in a month that the company Metinvest provided to doctors.
“Today we received much-needed medicines, which will mainly be used in intensive care units. On behalf of the team, I sincerely thank Metinvest Group and Zaporizhstal plant for their help. All heads of units are on site, all senior sisters headed by the head sister are also present. We are doing everything to bring victory closer,” commented Dmytro Ivchenko, the director of the hospital.
In general, during the war, the hospitals of Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianske, Pokrovsk, and Avdiyivka received more than UAH 150 million worth of medical equipment, medicines, and consumables from Metinvest.
As GMK Center reported earlier, from the beginning of the Russian invasion, Metinvest handed over 150,000 body armors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, every tenth body armor in the Armed Forces is made of Metinvest steel or purchased by the Group.
