Ukrainian enterprises continue to hand over stoves to the military

Ukrainian enterprises continue to hand over stoves to the military. The gas storage operator of Ukraine (Ukrtransgaz) produced 350 different types of stoves from Metinvest steel, and the cargo transportation operator Lemtrans has already handed over 32 stoves for the needs of the army.

The joint project of Metinvest-SMC and Ukrtransgaz to provide military items needed on the front line started in the summer. It is stated in the message of Metinvest.Media. During this time, 300 sapper cats, 60 fire extinguishers and 126 hose adapters were sent to the front. On the eve of the cold weather, efforts were focused on the production of stoves for heating in trenches and dugouts.

At present, 350 different types of stoves – tablet, turbo – and gas stoves have been produced from Metinvest-SMC’s steel at the service enterprises of Ukrtransgaz. The next batch was delivered to Luhansk region. Soldiers from the 119th battalion of the 111th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine from the Luhansk region received 30 stoves.

This departure is not the last in 2022. Currently, Ukrtransgaz is speeding up the production of stoves to help the maximum number of military units requesting support. In total, it is planned to produce approximately 5,000 different steel products from Metinvest-SMC for the needs of defenders.

Lemtrans company, according to the company’s website, has already handed over 32 stoves for the needs of the army. Recently, another batch of 10 stoves was sent to the front line.

According to the CEO of the company, Volodymyr Mezentsev, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Lemtrans has been helping the Armed Forces, military personnel, and civilians. In total, during the war, about 27 million hryvnias were transferred to support the military, territorial defense and humanitarian aid to the population. In addition, the assistance consists the purchase and delivery of vehicles, fuel and body armors to the defenders of Ukraine, as well as the production of anti-tank hedgehogs for the defense of cities.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest-SMC developed armored shields for Ukrainian defenders. They are designed to protect machine gunners and operators of large-caliber weapons from being wounded by small-arms ammunition and shrapnel.
