Ukraine’s revenues from exports of metals jumped 58% in H1 2021

Revenues of Ukrainian steelmaking companies from exports of ferrous metals in January–June rose by 57.7% to $6.15 billion y-o-y, according to the customs statistics of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

In June, revenues from exports of ferrous metals amounted to $1.23 billion, 103.4% up from June 2020.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of Ukraine’s foreign currency earnings in January–June increased to 20.52% against 17% in H1 of the past year.

In H1, the value of imports of ferrous metals increased by 22.4% to $570 million and reached $129.2 million in June. That is 50% up from June 2020.

In 2020, revenues from exports of ferrous metals from Ukraine fell by 11.9% to $7.69 billion compared to the same period a year earlier.
