In the autumn of 2022, the movement of freight trains on the section of the railway Berezino (Ukraine) – Bessarabia (Moldova) to be resumed

Moldova plans to export and import goods after the resumption of rail services through the Ukrainian port of Izmail on the Danube. Ukraine, in turn, will be able to establish imports to Moldova and the European Union.

In addition, Moldova will build 1.2 km of tracks, and Ukraine – about 23 km.

Earlier Moldavian railways started repair works on the railway tracks passing from border of Ukraine to Romania. The works are being carried out on the 233 km long section Tigina – Basarabeasca – Giurgiulesti.

Earlier GMK Center reported that in early May, Romania held a tender for the repair of a railway line between the village of Giurgiulesti in Moldova and the port of Galati for the transportation of goods from Ukraine.
