The US is introducing anti-dumping duties on welded pipes from South Korea

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of the administrative review of the anti-dumping duty on welded pipes from South Korea. SteelOrbis informs about it.

The department determined that the sale of these products from South Korean producers during the inspection period (from December 1, 2020, to November 30, 2021) was carried out at a lower price than usual.

The DOC determined a weighted average dumping margin for Nexteel at 2.38%, for SeAH Steel Corporation at 4.23%, and for other producers at 3.27%. The final anti-dumping duties for South Korea will apply from June 30.

The products to be subject to duties are currently classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under subheadings 7305.11.1030, 7305.11.1060, 7305.11.5000, 7305.12.1030, 7305.12. 1060, 7305.12.5000, 7305.19.1030, 7305.19.5000, 7306.19.1010, 7306.19.1050, 7306.19.5110, 7305.19.5150.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in May 2023, the USA continued the action of duties on round welded pipes from four countries. The tariffs are on products shipped to the US from Brazil, Mexico, South Korea and Taiwan.

In March 2023, the United States extended anti-dumping duties on cold drawn pipes from six countries – China, Germany, India, Italy, South Korea and Switzerland, to prevent the continuation or recurrence of dumping and negative impact on domestic producers.
