The ECA supported exports worth UAH 5.2 billion in January

During January 2026, the Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported Ukrainian non-commodity export contracts with a total value of UAH 5.2 billion. According to the agency, each hryvnia of the agency’s liability secured UAH 33.5 of future export revenue.

The largest amount of support was provided to enterprises in the Khmelnytskyi region – UAH 4.6 billion. Significantly smaller, but still substantial amounts went to the Chernihiv region – UAH 0.3 billion and Zaporizhzhia – UAH 0.1 billion.

Among the main importers of Ukrainian products in January, European Union countries prevailed. In particular, the volume of supported exports to Germany amounted to UAH 0.6 billion. UAH 0.6 billion was allocated to supplies to Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Sweden. Products worth UAH 0.3 billion were exported to Moldova, and UAH 0.1 billion to France.

Furniture and related products became the leader in the commodity structure, accounting for UAH 4.6 billion. Manufacturers of metal doors and windows also received significant support, accounting for UAH 0.3 billion, as did paper and cardboard manufacturers, accounting for UAH 0.1 billion.

It should be noted that in 2025, ECA supported Ukrainian exports by UAH 10.43 billion, which exceeds the 2024 figure by almost 39%. Last year, each hryvnia of ECA’s insurance liability accounted for UAH 7.36 of supported exports. In 2025, the agency insured 84 loan agreements and supported 106 export agreements for 75 Ukrainian exporters.
