The Cabinet of Ministers registered two industrial parks in the Chernivtsi region

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created two new industrial parks in the Chernivtsi region: Khotyn Invest and Bukovyna Energy. They are included in the Register of industrial parks. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal informed about it on Telegram.

“Both parks will be located in the Chernivtsi region and will contribute to the development of the economy of the state and the region. Over the past few weeks, four industrial sites have already been created,” the Prime Minister wrote.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Economy declared that the enterprises that will be located within the parks will carry out activities in such areas as light industry, food industry, mechanical engineering, metalworking, production of building materials.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in the second half of June, the Verkhovna Rada accepted in the second reading, bills No. 5688 and No. 5689, providing for a number of new tax and customs benefits for industrial parks. The other day the President Volodymyr Zelensky signed these laws.

Bills No. 5688 about amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the creation of favorable conditions for attracting large-scale investments in industrial production and No. 5689 about amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine regarding the creation of favorable conditions for attracting large-scale investments in industrial production” propose:

  • exempt from VAT the import of new equipment for the industrial park’s own use to carry out activities in the processing industry or research activities;
  • exempt residents of the industrial park from income tax for ten years;
  • to give the right to local governments to establish preferential rates of real estate tax and land fees.

In early June, the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting approved creation of two new industrial parks in Ukraine: “L-Town Park” (Kyiv region) and “Maramuresh” (Zakarpattian region).
