The Cabinet of Ministers prolongs adaptive quarantine until 31 October

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has prolonged adaptive quarantine until 31 October.

This decision was adopted at a government meeting on 26 August.

Stricter restrictions will be imposed in the regions with the ‘green’ morbidity rate. Particularly, discos, entertainment venues, night clubs, catering & leisure facilities will be closed.

“In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, we’ve also developed a mechanism of banning concerts, other than those held by cultural institutions and those that constitute major ongoing activities,” says Maksym Stepanov, the Minister of Health of Ukraine.

In addition, local self-governing authorities will get access to Diy Vdoma (Act From Home) application to be able to control persons subject to self-isolation or observation as well as violators of the quarantine rules.

“Therefore, there is a need to prolong the national emergency for the purposes of the common government civil defense system all around Ukraine until 31 October 2020,” Mr Stepanov added.

As reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers had already prolonged the adaptive quarantine until 31 August 2020. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, it has proved to be effective in controlling the morbidity level in Ukraine.
