In January–September 2021, production of steel structures in Ukraine increased by 5.6% to 114 thousand tons y-o-y, according to the statistics provided by the Ukrainian Steel Construction Center (USCC).
USCC reported a 22% increase in production results of companies with the output of more than 5 thousand tons, to 53.3 thousand tons. Production results of companies with the output of 2 to 5 thousand tons decreased by 33% to 23 thousand tons, while companies with the output of up to 2 thousand tons improved their production results by 21% to 30 thousand tons.
In general, 44% of companies that are the major producers of structures ramped up production.
Apparent consumption of steel structures increased by 4.6% to 112 thousand tons in 9M 2021.
Exports of steel structures grew by 32.9% to 10.5 thousand tons.
As reported earlier, in 2020, production of the main types of steel structures in Ukraine declined by 26.3% to 346.5 thousand tons but showed a 2.3% growth to 83 thousand tons in Q1 2021.
