Production of steel structures in Ukraine grew by 14.4% in 9M

In January–September 2021, production of the main types of steel structures in Ukraine grew by 14.4% to 286.1 thousand tons y-o-y, according to the results of production of certain types of industrial products published by the State Statistics Service.

In H1 2021, production of certain types of steel structures showed a variety of trends:

  • pre-engineered construction systems — a 13.7% decrease to 49.2 thousand tons;
  • lattice towers and masts — a 5.1% increase to 4.4 thousand tons;
  • scaffolds, formworks, fixtures for mines and other equipment — a 4.9% increase to 56.6 thousand tons;
  • other structures — a 11.2% increase to 108.2 thousand tons;
  • spillways, lock gates, docks, other marine and river structures — a 6.8% decrease to 48.5 thousand tons;
  • various tanks, cisterns etc. — a 10.8% increase to 17.8 thousand tons;
  • metal containers for compressed or liquefied gas — a 25.5% decrease to 1.6 thousand tons.

As reported earlier, in 2020, production of the main types of steel structures in Ukraine declined by 26.3% to 346.5 thousand tons against a 2.3% growth to 83 thousand tons in Q1 2021.
