Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia plants paid UAH 2.3 billion in taxes in 6 months

Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia plants – Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporizhkoks and Zaporizhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant paid UAH 2.3 billion in taxes to the budgets of all levels in January-June 2022.

Zaporizhvognetryv’s press service reported about it on its Facebook page.

“We are strong on all fronts. Each of the company’s employee today does an extremely important mission – working to bring Ukraine’s victory closer. We are holding the Steel Front and the country’s economy,” the message says.

In 2021, Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia enterprises transferred about 6.7 billion hryvnias to the budgets of all levels, which is twice more than the amount of tax deductions for 2020.

As GMK Center reported earlier, the Metinvest Group (including associated companies and joint ventures) increased payment of taxes and duties to budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 2.4 times – to ₴52.7 billion y-o-y.

“Last year was a record year in terms of taxes paid in the entire history of Metinvest. That was due to a favorable market situation and an increase in the company’s operational efficiency,” said Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest.
