Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia enterprises paid UAH 1.4 billion in taxes in H1

Paymernts is 44% higher than in the same period of 2023

Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia-based enterprises – Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporozhkoks and Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant – increased tax payments to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine by 44% in January-June 2024, up to UAH 1.4 billion compared to the same period in 2023. This is stated in the company’s press release.

In the structure of taxes and fees for this period, the largest payments were made by the single tax on personal income and the single social contribution. Environmental and land taxes, as well as military duty, also accounted for a significant share of deductions.

“Metinvest Group’s enterprises remain among the largest taxpayers in Zaporizhzhia: in the first half of this year, the company’s steelmakers paid almost UAH 500 million in taxes and fees to local budgets. Additionally, the company’s enterprises are implementing socially important projects in the region to reintegrate war veterans and support their families, help vulnerable groups of the population, eliminate the consequences of shelling and restore destroyed infrastructure, etc.”, the statement said.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest Group, including its associates and joint ventures, increased its payments of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine by 56% in January-June 2024, up to UAH 9.9 billion compared to the same period in 2023.

In 2023, Metinvest Group paid UAH 14.6 billion in taxes and duties to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. The largest contributions included a single social contribution (SSC) of UAH 3.3 billion, income tax of UAH 3.2 billion and personal income tax of over UAH 3 billion. In 2023, the company’s Zaporizhzhia plants paid over UAH 2.1 billion in taxes.
