Metinvest’s Minings have already employed 192 veterans

Metinvest Group’s mining and processing plants have already returned 192 veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war to their jobs. This is stated in the report of Metinvest. Media.

The company’s enterprises provide veterans with employment and re-adaptation support, free legal and psychological counseling, and retraining if necessary.

Over the three years of full-scale war, a total of 2.4 thousand specialists from the company’s mining and processing plants have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enterprises keep in touch with the soldiers and provide them with the necessary ammunition and warm clothes.

Last year, Northern, Central and Ingulets Minings were able to transfer UAH 5.7 billion to the budgets of all levels. This was a significant contribution to stabilizing the economy of Ukraine, the region and Kryvyi Rih.

In 2024, the company’s mining and processing plants continued to help six territorial communities around Kryvyi Rih develop rural infrastructure.

Efforts and funds were spent on roofing social institutions: schools, hospitals and kindergartens. In addition, reconstructions and reformatting were carried out with the support of the Mining. In the Lozuvata community, part of the kindergarten is being converted into an ASC, a police office and a cultural space. The second floor of the Novostarodubsky Lyceum was renovated in the Petrovskaya community, where IDPs can now live and have classes.

Last year, Metinvest helped to repair some roads in Karpivka and Gleiavatska communities and improve water supply for the population.

Kryvyi Rih miners are already laying the groundwork for the country’s post-war reconstruction. During the third year of the war, the enterprises implemented investment projects worth more than UAH 2 billion, and in 2025, UAH 5.7 billion will be allocated for this purpose to maintain sustainable production. The main investments will be used to maintain key equipment, create alternative sources of electricity and provide safe and comfortable workplaces for all employees of the mining and processing plants, including veterans returning from the war.

Over the three years of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest Group has allocated UAH 8.4 billion to support Ukraine. A significant portion of these funds, UAH 4.4 billion, was transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the Steel Front initiative. More than 8 thousand employees of the company are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have created support, rehabilitation and employment programs for them. Metinvest’s enterprises have 4,000 vacancies for veterans.
