Despite the full-scale war in Ukraine, Metinvest Group’s Kryvyi Rih enterprises paid UAH 4.6 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in 2023. This is stated in a press release by Metinvest.Media.
Among the largest taxpayers are Northern, Central, Southern and Ingulets mining and processing plants.
The main sources of budget revenues are: subsoil use tax – more than UAH 2 billion; single social contribution (SSC) – almost UAH 953 million; personal income tax – UAH 837 million.
«These are the funds needed to pay salaries to employees of Kryvyi Rih’s utilities, provide hospitals with the necessary equipment and medicines, and support the city. The environmental tax and land payment also became a source of revenues for the state and local budgets,» the statement said.
The companies continue to help Kryvyi Rih and the communities of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohradsk regions where the company’s industrial sites are located. With their support, restoration work continues in hospitals and universities, and modern shelters are being built in educational institutions.
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2022, Metinvest’s Kryvyi Rih enterprises paid UAH 9.2 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels. Income tax for the year amounted to UAH 2.67 billion, SSC – UAH 1.31 billion, and personal income tax – UAH 1.12 billion.
