Metinvest provided residents of Donbass with coal worth UAH 48 million in winter

During the autumn-winter heating season, Metinvest Group provided residents of the Donetsk region, including employees of Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia, with 7.5 thousand tons of coal worth UAH 48 million. This is stated in the message on the company’s on the Facebook page.

“This winter seemed difficult for all Ukrainians, and even more so for residents of the front-line Donetsk region. To ensure that Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia employees are not left without heat in their homes during cold weather, the company has launched a social program,” the company notes.

Employees of Metinvest Pokrovskvugillia living in houses with solid fuel stoves and boilers could receive several tons of coal for free. At the same time, this is not the coal that the miners of the Mine Pokrovska mine. Metinvest purchased coal for heating the homes of Pokrovsk residents exclusively as part of a social program.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest Group together with the Pokrovsk city military administration concluded a memorandum on the restoration of the Myrnograd bridge. According to the document, the company will allocate UAH 5 million for the production of project documentation for the reconstruction of the overpass.

In addition, Metinvest handed over to the rescuers a modern specialized vehicle to the rescuers of the 45th state fire and rescue unit of Kamianske (SFRU). In 2022, the same specialized vehicle was handed over to rescuers of the 35th SFRU – this fire and rescue unit ensures fire and man-made safety of the enterprise’s steel divisions.
