Metinvest Polytechnic to cooperate with Dnipro Polytechnic

Metinvest Polytechnic, Ukraine’s first non-state iron and steel university, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with one of the most reputable polytechnic universities in Ukraine, the National Technical University of Dnipro Polytechnic. This is stated in the press release of Metinvest.Media.

The universities will become partners in educational, research and innovation activities.

«I am convinced that this memorandum is an important step in the joint mission of strengthening the educational and scientific potential of Ukraine. Today, engineering and technical education is extremely important for the revival of our country’s industry, which has been living in a full-scale war for three years. Therefore, the cooperation for both universities involves a wide range of initiatives aimed at training highly qualified engineering specialists and developing scientific and technological achievements,» said Oleksandr Povazhnyi, Rector of Metinvest Polytechnic.

The memorandum is aimed at increasing the number of joint projects, research, and participation in ERASMUS+ consortia and other international initiatives. It is planned that the joint work will allow not only to find new solutions to ensure the quality of education, student mobility, and professional development of teachers, but also to create new scientific results.

«The areas of educational and research activities of our universities are very similar, but despite this, each of us has its own specifics, experience and strengths. The cooperation will promote the implementation of advanced approaches in the field of technical education, allow us to join forces and make an important contribution to the training of qualified specialists and the development of innovative technologies,» added Rector of National Technical University «Dnipro Polytechnic» Oleksandr Azyukovskyi.

One of the goals of the partnership is also to build a friendly student community with the opportunity to communicate and participate in social and cultural initiatives.

«This cooperation is a testament to our common belief in the potential of our youth and the desire to develop their abilities to the maximum level,» Povazhnyi concluded.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in April 2024, Metinvest Polytechnic graduated the first specialists in modern engineering and technical specialties. Students studied in 11 educational programs. 143 masters received diplomas that allow them to work at any enterprise in the world

In February 2024, the university announced the start of the 2024 admission campaign. This year, the university is enrolling students in 16 bachelors and 18 master’s programs and is also opening a postgraduate program.

Metinvest Polytechnic is a university of the future that provides new and wide opportunities for young people and uses modern digital systems and platforms in education. The university was founded by Metinvest Group in June 2020, and the first enrollment of students took place in 2022. The main goal of the project is to bring European-level higher education to Ukraine. Metinvest guarantees the best students a first job, career development, financial and other incentives.
