Metinvest has prepared more than 100,000 product sets for employees and their families

Metinvest continues to help employees and their families in the most difficult times. As part of the «Saving Lives» project, the company prepared more than 100,000 food kits for more than 80,000 people. This is stated in Metinvest.Media’s message.

Packages are already distributed at 20 Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Avdiivka, Kamyanske, Pokrovsk, Dnipro and Kyiv. Assistance is intended for privileged categories of employees and members of their families, in particular, families of employees who serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces/territorial defense or were demobilized or injured during military service. Food kits will also be given to labor veterans and non-working pensioners of the company.

All food sets in terms of calories meet the requirements of WHO, they are designed for full nutrition of one person for 10-14 days. Recipients are notified by phone and invited to pick up the kit according to the schedule.

Previously, families of mobilized employees, labor veterans and employees of privileged categories (single mothers, large families and people with disabilities) received such food kits from Metinvest.

Metinvest has been supporting workers and their families who suffered during the war since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. In Zaporizhzhia and Kamyanske, support centers for migrant employees provide medical, psychological and humanitarian assistance. There are also several assistance projects in the provision of housing for temporary residence of displaced migrant workers.

The company also provides financial support to employees who were evacuated from Mariupol and Avdiivka and found employment at Metinvest’s operating enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, Kamyanske, Kryvyi Rih and Pokrovsk. In particular, employed migrant workers are paid a monthly partial compensation for renting housing under a lease agreement – UAH 3,000.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in June 2022, the information and analytical center GMK Center signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saving Lives. The agreement was signed in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and help the population of Ukraine. The memorandum includes the implementation of joint projects, in particular, informing on the humanitarian activities of the Saving Lives Foundation – to attract new partners and increase assistance opportunities.
