Memorandum of understanding aimed at humanitarian catastrophe prevention and Ukrainian population assistance

GMK Center has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saving Lives Charitable Foundation.

The agreement was signed in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and help the population of Ukraine. The memorandum includes the implementation of joint projects:

  • informing on the humanitarian activities of the Saving Lives Foundation – to attract new partners and increase assistance opportunities;
  • partners engagement – to expand opportunities to help Ukrainian citizens affected by the war;
  • other types of cooperation required for the implementation of projects within the activities of the parties.

As part of the cooperation, GMK Center plans to post materials about the charitable organization’s activities on the website and social networks, cover and participate in public events and international conferences aimed at providing assistance to the citizens of Ukraine.

Saving Lives Foundation is a charitable organization founded by the Metinvest group of companies and DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

Since the beginning of the war, the fund has delivered 3,146 tons of essential kits, which received 85,453 people. These are mostly vulnerable groups: elderly, women and children.

In addition to food and stuff, the project delivers medicines and medical devices to Ukraine. In particular, the hospitals of Zaporizhzhia and Kamyanske received drugs and consumables worth 238,000. Rehabilitation and reintegration centers of Metinvest got 1500 packages of vitamin complexes for migrants.

The Fund operates on the principles of transparency and regularly publishes financial statements of expenditures.
