The special forces received two pickup trucks and a minibus

Through Rinat Akhmetov’s «Steel Front» military initiative, Metinvest group handed over two pickup trucks and a minibus with a total value of UAH 2 million to the special unit of the Security Service of Ukraine, which defends Ukraine in the Kupyansk direction. It is stated in the message of Metinvest.Media.

Fighters are very happy with cars – during a counterattack, vehicles are lost much faster, so they are constantly needed, especially SUVs.

According to the representative of the special unit, the cars handed over by Metinvest will be used to deliver weapons and transport people to the front line of defense.

«SUVs are very effectively involved in combat missions, because they have high cross-country ability. Now is an active phase, and unfortunately, losses in technology are high. And these cars will be used directly to impress the enemies,» he says.

The military often turn to cars with high ground clearance, because they are convenient for performing various tasks. That is why the company provides pickup trucks and SUVs to the soldiers.

“«Steel Front» has supplied almost 500 vehicles to the army since the beginning of hostilities. We also handed over more than 1,500 drones, because without “eyes” on the front, it is impossible,» says the head of the project office of Metinvest group’ CEO Oleksandr Vodoviz.

The company recently handed over 230 FPV drones, 5 DJI Mavic 3T copters, as well as 3 Sirko reconnaissance drones to Ukrainian fighters – the total cost of the equipment is UAH 4 million.

Metinvest from the beginning of the full-scale invasion allocated at development of tactical medicine already 10.6 million UAH, more than 18 thousand people received vital knowledge in general.

As GMK Center reported earlier, the company has adjusted serial production of engineering structures that perform the role of «lancet catchers», protecting expensive military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from enemy drone attacks.
