Metinvest Group sent 800 more high-class bulletproof vests to the Avdiika region for military personnel, territorial defense and policemen, serving in hot spots. This is stated in the Metinvest.Media’s press release.
Ammunition is made of high-strength steel that can withstand all the necessary loads. Body armors has already been tested and fired.
Currently, Metinvest has already handed over 2.3 thousand units of ammunition to the defenders and employees of the critical infrastructure of Avdiivka.
“We support our military in every possible way in the fight against the Russian invasion. In the near future, we expect another batch of body armors for the Armed Forces. In addition, we provided defenders of the Donetsk region with 30 tons of coal for heating. We also provided the military administration with fuel for refueling cars in order to take people to safer settlements of Ukraine, further from the front line,” said Yury Ktsynenko, acting CEO of Avdiyivka Coke Plant.
As GMK Center reported earlier, from the beginning of the Russian invasion Metinvest has handed over 150,000 body armors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Thus, every tenth body armor in the Armed Forces is made of Metinvest steel or purchased by the Group.
In general, since the beginning of the war, the amount of assistance from Metinvest to Ukraine and Ukrainians has reached more than UAH 2 billion. 1.3 billion of them is directed to support the army and help the military.
