Metinvest continues to support medical facilities in communities

Metinvest Group continues to help medical facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions. In particular, with the support of the company, a family-type ambulatory works in the village of Shevchenkivske of the Gleyuvat community, Dnipropetrovsk region. It is stated in Metinvest.Media’s message.

Budgets of all levels were contributed to the creation of the dispensary in Shevchenkivske, including financial assistance provided by Metinvest. Thanks to the support of the Northern Mining and Processing Plant (Northern GOK), technical documentation was developed, later the roof was covered in the building, and new windows were installed in the room. At the end of 2022, new equipment was brought and installed in the medical facility, in particular, a biochemical blood analyzer and an oxygen concentrator. The work was coordinated by the NGO Kryvyi Rih Foundation of the Future.

The medical facility was opened in January 2023, in three months more than 500 residents of the community received services here. In general, the updated dispensary can serve more than 2,000 residents from six surrounding villages.

According to CEO of the Northern GOK Andriy Skachkov, despite the war, the enterprise continues to fulfill both production tasks and social obligations to the communities of presence. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the support of medical facilities and doctors became even more urgent.

“The work of the new medical center is the result of cooperation between the government and business,” noted Andriy Skachkov.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Zaporizhstal since the beginning of the year shipped 280 tons of medical oxygen to hospitals. Currently, the geography of aid covers Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In 2022, the enterprise provided more than 1.3 thousand tons of oxygen to Ukrainian medical facilities.

Also, last December, a powerful diesel generator with a capacity of 200 KW and a weight of more than 3.5 tons for the Kamianske hospital was restored at the Kametstal Ion and Steel Works. The personnel of the repair shop of the enterprise’s railway transport management (RTM) were involved in carrying out the revision and adjustment of all installation’s systems.
