KMRP repairs trolleys of LURGI roasting machine for the Northern Mining

Metinvest Kryvyi Rih Machining and Repair Plant (KMRP) repairs trolleys for the Northern Mining and Processing Plant (Northern GOK). The company reports about it on its Facebook page.

Miners use this equipment to bake pellets in LURGI roasting machines.

All components are individually restored in the company’s mechanical assembly shop, and then assembled into a complete structure. The first priority is to weld the hull, repair the side parts, and produce parts.

At Metinvest-KMRP such trolleys were previously repaired, but without restoring the body geometry. Currently, it is being completely restored, straightening the part, welding the material and performing mechanical processing of almost all surfaces.

The company plans to repair 20 trolleys by the end of 2022 and ship them to the Northern GOK.

As GMK Center reported earlier, KMRP carried out major repairs of a 20-ton electric bridge crane at the heat treatment section of the steel casting workshop. Specialists updated the crane control system and replaced cable materials. A comfortable chair was installed in the cabin, a heating and air conditioning system was also installed there.

Previously, an electric overhead crane with a load capacity of 16 tons was installed in the mechanical assembly shop of KMRP after major repairs.
