Social and local payments remain the most significant components of tax revenues
The Kametstal Metallurgical Plant, part of the Metinvest Group, paid more than UAH 1.406 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels in Ukraine in January-September 2025, which is almost 22% more than in the same period of 2024. This is stated in the company’s press release.
Social and local payments remain the most significant components of tax revenues. The single social contribution (SSC) for this period amounted to over UAH 428 million, which is 30% more than in the same period last year. Land payments became a significant source of support for local budgets, amounting to over UAH 321 million (+11% year-on-year). Personal income tax revenues to budgets reached UAH 367 million (+28% year-on-year).
In addition, the company continues to fulfill its environmental and defense obligations. During January-September 2025, Kametstal paid over UAH 111 million in environmental tax, and the military levy reached UAH 102 million.
In 2024, Kametstal increased its tax payments by 30% compared to 2023, to UAH 2.815 billion. Approximately UAH 639 million (+UAH 34 million y/y) was allocated to the local budget of the city of Kamyanske. Almost UAH 2.176 billion was transferred to the regional and state budgets.
As reported by GMK Center, Metinvest, including its associates and joint ventures, paid a total of UAH 13.8 billion in taxes and fees to the Ukrainian budget in the first nine months of 2025. The three largest categories of payments were subsoil use fees, unified social tax, and personal income tax.
