Interpipe will ship railway wheels worth UAH 9 million to KERRP

Kyiv Electric Railcar Repair Plant (KERRP) ordered solid-rolled wheels for UAH 9 million from the Interpipe pipe and wheel company. This is evidenced by the data of the corresponding tender in the system Prozorro.

According to the tender documentation, Interpipe must ship 256 solid-rolled wheels 975×175 to KERRP by the end of 2023. Thus, the cost of one wheel is UAH 35.3 thousand. The producer of the wheels will be Interpipe Nizhnyodniprovsk Pipe Rolling Plant (Interpipe NTZ), a plant of the company that specializes in the production of railway products.

Delivery will be made on DDP terms – to the customer’s address with post-payment within ten banking days.

In May Interpipe NTZ received the order for the supply of Ukrainian Railways 5.6 thousand solid wheels for rolling stock. The total value of the contract is UAH 214.83 million. According to the terms of the contract, the products must be shipped to the customer during 2023.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Interpipe NTZ in 2022 increased the net loss by 2.5 times compared to 2021 – up to UAH 1.23 billion. The company’s retained earnings at the end of 2022 amounted to UAH 2.94 billion. The company ended 2021 with a loss of UAH 486.4 million.

Interpipe NTZ in the fall of 2022, despite the decline in the wagon repair segment, shipped record volume of wheel pairs for European customers. The European market will become the main consumer of wheels and wheel pairs for rolling stock in 2022. Its share in the total volume of sold products reached 50%. No less important positions belong to the Ukrainian market and ensuring the operation of critical railway infrastructure.
