Interpipe received a silver medal from EcoVadis for its achievements in sustainable development

Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe received a silver medal from the international rating agency EcoVadis for its high performance in the field of sustainable development. In 2025, the company scored 74 out of 100 points, which corresponds to the 92nd percentile and allows it to enter the top 8% of the most sustainable companies among the participants in the global rating, according to a press release.

Since winning the bronze award in 2021, Interpipe has consistently improved its performance in all key areas: environment, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In the field of ecology, the company has already exceeded the EU’s 2030 targets: direct CO2 emissions have been reduced to 200 kg per ton of product. The company has also implemented full carbon footprint accounting for all three areas of the GHG Protocol (Scopes 1-3) and increased the share of green energy in production.

In the area of human rights, Interpipe received high marks for working conditions, safety, career growth support, and staff training. The company continues to operate its Patronage Service, which provides assistance to mobilized employees.

In the area of ethics and procurement, the company maintains transparency in its activities and implements responsible sourcing principles.

«The EcoVadis award is a testament to the success of our decarbonization journey. We aim to reduce CO2 emissions per ton for seamless pipes and railway products by 26% and 25% respectively by 2030 through efficient energy consumption and future investments in new production facilities. All of the company’s plants are moving forward in unison in accordance with our decarbonization roadmap, which brings us closer to the Gold Medal,» said Vladislav Varnavsky, Director of Ecology and Industrial Safety at Interpipe.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Interpipe plans to invest $120 million in modernizing its railway product manufacturing facilities by 2032. The program includes the implementation of several key projects: the construction of a new heat treatment line, the expansion of wheel and axle finishing capacities, and the modernization of production workshop infrastructure.
