Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has made a breakthrough in the B2B sector—customers can now track production and delivery of products in real time through the digital “Customer Account.” The platform has been operating since 2021 and already covers more than 165 accounts in the pipe and railway divisions, according to Forbes.
The service allows customers to see the path of products from the factory to the warehouse via GPS tracking, monitor the production process, view the history of cooperation and documents, submit requests and complaints, download certificates, and use the support chat. The interface is intuitive and supports multiple languages, and registration takes up to 10 minutes.
“This feature proved to be especially valuable during the full-scale war, when foreign customers doubted whether we could continue to operate in such conditions. Thanks to the ”Customer Cabinet,“ they were able to easily see this for themselves. This increased trust in us as a manufacturer,” said Ivan Mazanka, Director of Pipe Sales in Europe.
Interpipe has adapted to the stringent requirements of Western markets – customers in the EU, the US, and the Middle East often order small batches with individual specifications. That is why digitalization has become not just a modernization for the company, but a necessary condition for development.
«Online services are commonplace in the B2C segment, where consumers have long been accustomed to tracking orders from the moment of purchase to delivery right to their door. But ordering pipes or wheels is much more difficult than simply buying something from an online store. However, we have made this process easy and transparent for the customer,» emphasizes IT Director Sergiy Sayevich.
The company plans to transfer all partners to a digital platform. This will not only improve communication but also speed up all production and logistics processes.
As GMK Center reorged earlier, Interpipe is constantly expanding its presence in the global market. The company recently began supplying casing pipes to Italy for the salt industry, manufactured its first pipes for offshore gas production in the Black Sea, and mastered the production of super-heavy pipes weighing over 3 tons. In addition, Interpipe is actively developing its passenger wheel business in Europe, complementing its successful presence in the freight rolling stock segment.
Interpipe is a global manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products, which it supplies to more than 50 countries around the world. In 2024, the company sold 511,000 tons of pipes and 115,000 tons of railway products. The total number of employees is about 9,500, of which more than a thousand currently serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Last year, Interpipe paid UAH 5.5 billion in taxes, a record amount in the company’s history.
