Ingulets Mining received permission to carry out blasting operations in the quarry

The Ingulets Mining and Processing Plant (Ingulets GOK) received a permit to carry out blasting operations in the pit for a period of five years. It is stated in a message on the Metinvest Kryvyi Rih Facebook page.

Currently, the most complex type of work will be performed at Ingulets GOK independently, without the involvement of subcontractors. This will save the company almost half a million UAH at current production volumes.

These works will be taken care of by the explosive division, which was recently created at the enterprise. More than 40 employees of the Ingulets GOK set up the new profession – after mastering the theory, they spent two months practicing at the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant, where they have extensive experience in this field.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in March 2023, during the period of partial recovery of production, Ingulets GOK carried out repair work in parallel with iron ore mining and concentrate production. Since the beginning of 2023, 192 pieces of equipment have been repaired in the plant’s structural divisions, and maintenance has been performed on 261 pieces. Major repairs were carried out at ore beneficiation factories.

Also, the Northern Mining and Processing Plant improves quality of iron ore concentrate for the production of pellets. At the iron ore beneficiation plant (ROF) №1, a technological chain for the production of iron ore concentrate with an iron content of 68% from the iron ore of the First May Quarry was established. Thanks to the project, the company also got the opportunity to enter new sales markets of iron ore.
