According to the Rivers of Ukraine Association that refers to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, in January to July, Ukrainian producers increased transportations of metal products along the Dnieper by 33.9%, to 835.2 thousand tons, compared to the same period a year earlier.
Over the first seven months of 2019, cargo traffic along the Dnieper increased by 31.5%, to 5.45 million tons, compared to the same period of 2018.

The number of ship passes over the seven months was 5.8 thousand.
As reported earlier, in January to June, Ukrainian producers increased transportations of metal products along the Dnieper by 45%, to 647 thousand tons, compared to the same period a year earlier.
It is worth reminding that in 2018, steelmakers transported 1.29 million tons of cargoes along the Dnieper, which is by 6.7% more than in the same period of the previous year. This growth results from Zaporizhstal’s increase in metal shipments along the Dnieper by 17%, to 670 thousand tons per year.
