Since the beginning of the war, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has provided over UAH 710 million in charitable assistance.
“Our main task in 2024 was to operate despite all the challenges and to be able to pay taxes and help the communities. We managed to achieve this in particular thanks to support from the parent company. During last 3 war years the Group supported us with more than 1bln USD of cash, of which USD 0.3bln to finance capital investments,” said Mauro Longobardo, CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
According to him, as one of the largest taxpayers, the company understands that these funds are used for the country’s defense and the approaching Victory Day. It is also about responsibility to the city, surrounding communities and employees.
“Despite the unprofitable financial results, we did a lot of work to reintegrate veterans who returned to us after serving in the Ukrainian military, helped the families of our fallen colleagues, employees affected by enemy attacks, and assisted in the restoration of infrastructure facilities in various communities. We will continue to do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine wins and starts rebuilding,” emphasized the CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
A significant part of the company’s social assistance is to help the families of the deceased employees (last year it amounted to UAH 35.55 million), as well as to employees whose housing was destroyed or damaged as a result of hostile shelling (over UAH 6.4 million in 2024).
