Ferroalloy exports from Ukraine fell to their lowest level since April 2024 in January

In January 2026, Ukrainian ferroalloy enterprises exported 0.76 thousand tons of products compared to 8.33 thousand tons (-90.8% y-o-y) during the same month of 2025. This is evidenced by GMK Center calculations based on data from the State Customs Service.

Compared to the previous month, shipments decreased by 68.9%. Thus, exports fell to the lows of early 2024, when shipments almost stopped due to the downtime of key producers.

Almost all exports went to Poland – 0.486 thousand tons, which is 75.8% less than in December 2025 and 85.4% less than in January last year.

Export revenue in January fell to $1.07 million compared to $8.65 million a year earlier (-87.7% y/y).

As reported by GMK Center, in 2025, Ukrainian ferroalloy enterprises exported 93.84 thousand tons of products compared to 77.36 thousand tons (+21.4% y/y) during the same period in 2024. Export revenue increased to $105.44 million compared to $88.63 million a year earlier (+19% y/y).

The largest consumers of ferroalloy products during the period were Algeria (21.28 thousand tons), Poland (25.97 thousand tons, +24% y/y), Turkey – 20.4 thousand tons (+87% y/y), and Italy – 12.02 thousand tons (-29.1% y/y).
